Bill O’Reilly got some bad news this month when it was revealed that numerous women have accused him of sexual harassment over the years, and that both he and Fox News have paid out $13 million to his accusers since 2002. Since then, over 90 companies have pulled their advertisements from The O’Reilly Factor. Daily Mail reported that new reports are coming in that O’Reilly has officially been dropped by Fox News, and executives are already trying to figure out who his replacement will be. The decision was reportedly made by Rupert Murdoch after he was pressured to get rid of O’Reilly by his sons, James and Lachlan. The popular O’Reilly Factor host had signed a $20 million-a-year contract just weeks before his termination. The top three choices to replace O’Reilly are reportedly hosts Eric Bolling, Dana Perino, and Tucker Carlson. Bolling has been with Fox News since 2007 and is currently a cohost on The Five. Perino once served as the White House Press Secretary for George W. Bush and has been with Fox since 2009 and cohosts The Five while also acting as a political commentator. Carlson joined Fox News in 2009 and took over Megyn Kelly’s time slot earlier this year with his show Tucker Carlson Tonight. The program has been a massive hit in the ratings, so he’s likely the contender for the new face of Fox News. Who do you think should take O’Reilly’s spot?
