Do you think terrorism can be controlled by love and understanding?
  Yes
  No
There have been raging discussions for over a decade on what fuels terrorism and how to tackle it. While what fuels terrorism could range from religion to wealth (oil) to freedom, the way to tackle terrorism has not been found. Terrorists, largely, do not listen to reason. They do not listen to strength either. So, what can be done. If we were to listen to Katy Perry and her plan to face terrorism, we should simply smile and turn the other cheek. In the aftermath of the terrorist attack at Manchester, Katy Perry voice her opinion on a radio talk show. Her plan is for people to Co-Exist. She thinks the best thing people can do post Manchester incident is “Co-Exist”. Perry quoted that she was destroyed from inside by the suicide bombing that happened outside of Ariana Grande’s concert in Manchester. So devastated, in fact, that she called for open borders and people to be nicer to each other on the Internet. While the conservatives across the US have slammed her for being over simplistic and yes, even delusional, the liberals have some to her defense saying that only love can trump hate. If that were so, there would be no wars, there would be no court cases between siblings and neighbours. This is a mockery, in a way, of the pain that will be felt by the mother of the dead 8 year old “NAME” when she comes out of the coma. On the Elvis Duran Show, Perry said, “No barriers, no borders, we all need to just coexist. The greatest thing we can do now is just, like, unite as people, as like, fanbases...all of it.” “Cause, like, as much as, like, whatever we say behind people’s backs, cause the internet can be a little bit ruthless as far as fanbases go, but I think that the greatest thing we can do is just unite and love one another.” “We should just stay loving on one another,” Perry said. Love is indeed a great unifier but for people who look at an 8 year old child and see “Target” and not a gift of god, love might just be an alien concept. Do you think that what Katy perry has proposed is a way forward? Should the world just abolish border, passports, countries and live as one? We await your answer in the comments below. Close this
