Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) went on an EPIC tweet-storm to celebrate Doug Jones historic victory in Alabama’s special election to fill its empty senate seat. Jones defeated accused sexual predator Roy Moore, despite President Trump heavily endorsing him down the stretch.
Moments after the race was called for Jones, Warren took to Twitter to fire off the first congratulatory tweet with a global message of praise, writing, “…Doug Jones was a great candidate. We had the right message. We had the wind in our sails. And we fought our hearts out.”
Sen. Warren was just getting starting. She continued with tweets referencing the accusations of sexual assault leveled at Roy Moore by 9 women, two of whom were minors when their encounter with him.
After two more tweets touting the national implications for Democrats, she ended her flurry by throwing the gauntlet down at the feet of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
“I call on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to listen to the people of Alabama and seat Doug Jones without any delay!”
